A Modern Family
Caroline and Martin Parkes commissioned me to take photographs of their family over the course of two separate days.
Being a portrait photographer that likes to tell a story, I always try and capture on film the deep love and connection that exists within a family and Caroline and Martin and their two children Cooper and Wren were a dream to shoot and I quickly felt at home. There was a lot of banter and laughter and we managed to get the required photos done in record time!
We started the shoot in their stunning modernist home in the beautiful Georgian Cotswolds town of Woodstock and then ventured out to neighbouring Blenheim Palace to take further photos.
I love living in Oxfordshire and Woodstock is my favourite place in the whole county. It’s a thriving town, with lots of lovely independent shops and businesses run by interesting, creative people and has a vibrancy and edge that people don’t normally associate with the Cotswolds. It’s certainly not over-shadowed by Blenheim and is well worth a visit in its own right.
